How many virtual summit speaking opportunities have you said
"yes" to and regretted later? ...I'm definitely counting on two
hands.
This happens because speakers feel obligated to say "yes" to
opportunities that aren't truly a good fit. Then, it turns into
an obligation that you're annoyed by a few weeks later.
There are 5 areas to look at before saying "yes" to a speaking
opportunity: the host, your availability, the fit, the likelihood
that you'll benefit, and your desire to participate.
